Wes Anderson’s color palette.
I like the Royal Tenenbaums palette best, for whatever reason, but Moonrise Kindgom was the most visually appealing Wes Anderson film I’ve seen yet.
Also, I don’t care how tired people are of the quirk – at least you know what to expect with Anderson’s movies. I loved Moonrise Kingdom because I got exactly what I wanted from it: an aesthetically pleasing, weird, kind-of-sappy movie. Sometimes you need films like that to take your mind off of your problems for a little while.
